Finals success for MPBC in 2021/22

Another massively successful year on the greens this season for MPBC! All three weekend sides, plus the midweek side made finals, with two Saturday sides having first round home finals.

Midweek Division 3 had a battle on their hands away against Armadale after finishing 4th on the ladder, with Armadale proving too strong in the semi-final. But congratulations to the midweek side on a fantastic season.

Saturday Division 6B 12-a-side finished 3rd on the ladder but unfortunately got knocked out in the semi-final against Brighton Beach. A really top effort to finish in the final 4.

Saturday Division 5 made it all the way to the Section Final, and came away with the WIN and the Section Flag, taking out Chadstone 90 – 81. They went on to play in the first knock-out final but were pipped by Auburn. But the Section Flag is ours!!

Saturday Division 3 had an amazing season, winning 13 of 14 games to finish top of the ladder, and won the Section for the Flag! On the date of posting, the side went on to win the first knock-out and then the quarter final. They are in the final 4 of the Division and will play in the semi-final on Saturday 26th March against Epping RSL at Preston/Reservoir.

Such a huge achievement for our club to win two Section Flags, and get promoted up to Divisions 2 & 4 for season 2022/23.
